Philadelphia Union team captain Alejandro Bedoya record a very special Independence Blue Cross Achievement Unlocked on Saturday night as the Union defeated Houston Dynamo FC, 6-0.
The Captain continued to have his best season with the Boys in Blue as he contributed three assists. Bedoya's accomplishment tied the Union's single-game record for assists in a match and helped him become just the fifth player in club history to notch 25 assists as a Union player. The midfielder set up the opening goal of the contest in the 23rd minute, pushing a pass into the box which Daniel Gazdag finished off. In the second half, Bedoya contributed on back-to-back early goals finding Uhre in the 48th with a perfectly timed volley over the Dynamo defense and then linking up with Julian Carranza in the 55th minute of play.
