Goalkeeper Andre Blake and forward Mikael Uhre have been named to Major League Soccer’s Team of the Matchday following the Philadelphia Union's dominant win against New York Red Bulls on Saturday night.
The pair's performance helped lift the team to their first three point result since MLS play resumed following Leagues Cup.
The 29-year-old Dane shined early with a fourth minute goal to claim the lead, then facilitated the second score with an assist to Tai Baribo just 10 minutes later. Three-time MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Andre Blake helped the team maintain their two-goal advantage through the final whistle, making four big saves for a clean sheet.
With the win, Philadelphia Union became the first team to defeat New York Red Bulls on their home pitch, while also extending their unbeaten streak against their 1-95 foes to 14 games without a loss.
