It was a question of which big stop from goalkeeper Andre Blake against the Columbus Crew would be named the Visit St. Pete/Clearwater Save of October. After all the votes have been counted, there was a clear winner.
The winning save from the two-time MLS Goalkeeper of the Year came in the 80th minute with the Union down a man and the Crew on the front foot. Dangerous Darlington Nagbe collected the ball at the top of the box and ripped a shot for the upper 90. Brick Wall Blake did his thing, rising up to deny Nagbe and pick up another shutout.
