Philadelphia Union announced today that Daniel Gazdag has received an international call-up for Hungary ahead of the upcoming FIFA international window. The midfielder is part of numerous call-ups during the window for the club which includes: Andre Blake, Tai Baribo, Jesus Bueno and Danley Jean Jacques, who will represent their countries in international matches. Additionally, Homegrown midfielder Cavan Sullivan has been called up to the United States U-17 National Team.
Gazdag was called into the Hungarian National Team for a pair of UEFA Nations League matches however he will not report due to an injury. With 26 international caps and four goals to his name, Gazdag continues to be a key player for Hungary. Earlier this year, he made history as the first active Philadelphia Union player to be named to a UEFA Euro roster, featuring in Hungary's group stage match against Germany. Hungary will play matches against Germany (Sept. 7, 2:45 p.m.) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sept. 10, 2:45 p.m.).
