Philadelphia Union announced Thursday afternoon that the club has signed midfielder Jesús Bueno. Here are some fast facts on the Union's newest player.
- Bueno brings leadership to the Boys in Blue despite being just 22 years old. He comes to the Union after recently serving as team captain of Deportivo Lara
- Come to the Union from Deportivo Lara in the first-tier Venezuelan division, Primera Division, where he's played since 2017. He has made 75 total appearances for the Venezuelan side, scoring nine goals and logging three assists in that time. Bueno has twice played in the Primera Division Championship Finals (2016, 2020), and in his most recent appearance he scored in the third minute of extra time for a 1-0 win that secured his team third place overall.
- Bueno gives the Union two players from Venezuela, joining fellow countryman Jose "El Brujo" Martinez.
- Bueno will wear No. 20 when he arrives to the Union, becoming the seventh player to wear the kit.
