With five new faces added to the Philadelphia Union roster today, now is the time when players are given their numbers for the upcoming season.
Below you'll find the new numbers for the Boys in Blue including a debut debut occurrence of a certain number:
16: Jack McGlynn- the rookie becomes the eighth players to wear the Union 16. Previous players to wear that number include Richie Marquez and Josh Yaro.
26: Nathan Harriel- The 19-year-old defender becomes the fifth player to wear this number and the first since former homegrown Auston Trusty.
30: Paxten Aaronson- The playmaking midfielder becomes the fourth player to wear the No. 30 kit. It was last worn by Eric Ayuk in 2018 but others to wear it include Pedro Ribeiro and Krystian Witkowski.
33: Quinn Sullivan- Sullivan will become the second player in Union history with the double three on his back. The other member of the Union to do so was Fabinho.
34: Brandan Craig- The youngest captain in Union II history makes more history as he becomes the first Union player to wear the 34.
