In the penultimate weekend of the MLS NEXT regular season, Philadelphia Union Academy's U17s and U15s ran up their goal totals with big wins over Bethesda SC on Saturday afternoon.
The U15s claimed their largest win of the season with three players getting a brace and five total Union players notching a goal in the 8-0 victory. Playing inside Subaru Park for the first time in 2021, the memorable experience translated to goals as Gael Medrano, Luke Zielinkski and Dominic Wilson each tallied two-goal efforts over the weekend. Henry Bernstein and Alex Perez capped off the scoring as the U15s remained undefeated in MLS NEXT play.
The U17s too put up a strong performance against Bethesda SC, with a 3-1 win. Ian Abbey notched a brace in the result while Samuel Jones added a goal in the winning effort. =
