Philadelphia Union Homegrown Jack McGlynn earned U.S. Men's National Team Man of the Match honors on Saturday, contributing a goal and assist in the team's 3-1 win against Venezuela.
The recognition was well-deserved -- in the 37th minute, the 21-year-old midfielder opened scoring in golazo fashion, using his renowned left foot for an awe-inspiring blast from way outside the box.
He was one of three players to score their first international goal for the senior team -- Charlotte FC's Patrick Agymenag followed his effort with a goal two minutes later, then Matko Miljevic made it three by way of a McGlynn pass as he descended toward the top of the 18.
