Philadelphia Union are honored to announce that the hometown hero for Saturday night's contest against LAFC will be our kid artists from Fearless 43.
Every day, 43 children are diagnosed with cancer. In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Union partnered with Kisses for Kyle to work with 43 childhood cancer patients in the greater Philadelphia area on a special project.
Each child was asked to draw what they love about life, and their answers were reflected on custom cleats that Union players wore during warmups tonight. Their art will also be featured on the cleats and hockey sticks of participating players at the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers as Philly goes gold.
