Philadelphia Union Exercise 2021 Options On Seven Players
Club enters 2020-21 offseason with 18 players currently under contract
CHESTER, Pa. (Dec. 2, 2020) – Philadelphia Union today announced that they have exercised the contract options on seven players from their 2020 roster, while 18 contracts were already guaranteed for next season, giving the club a roster that currently features 25 players under contract for the 2021 campaign.
Options have been exercised for Andre Blake, Anthony Fontana, Matt Real, Ilsinho, Raymon Gaddis, Olivier Mbaizo, and Kai Wagner.
Joe Bendik and Aurelien Collin are out of contract and will become free agents. The club is under further discussions with both players. Simultaneously, the Union announced that they have declined the contract options of Warren Creavalle, Michee Ngalina, and Andrew Wooten.
Players under contract for 2021: Paxten Aaronson, Alejandro Bedoya, Cory Burke, Brandan Craig, Jack de Vries, Jack Elliott, Matt Freese, Jakob Glesnes, Nathan Harriel, Jose Martinez, Jack McGlynn, Mark McKenzie, Jamiro Monteiro, Matej Oravec, Kacper Przybylko, Sergio Santos, Quinn Sullivan, and Cole Turner.
