Philadelphia Union, in coordination with the NCAA, have announced that Subaru Park has been named as the host site for the 2027 and 2028 NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship.
“We are thrilled to be awarded the opportunity to host the 2027 and 2028 NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship at Subaru Park. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of hosting many collegiate sporting events, and the competitive spirit and energy these exceptional student athletes bring is unrivaled,” said Tim McDermott, President, Philadelphia Union. “Bringing the women’s lacrosse finals to Subaru Park truly highlights the city’s reputation of being a hub for world class sports. We thank the NCAA Bid Committee and look forward to welcoming the NCAA athletes and lacrosse fans from across the nation to our stadium.”
This selection of Subaru Park marks the second time the NCAA has selected the venue to host the women’s lacrosse championship, with the previous finals taking place in 2015 and 2016. Subaru Park has hosted many elite collegiate sporting events, as well as lacrosse matches, over the years. The stadium has served as the host site for the coveted Army-Navy Cup for the last 12 editions and are preparing for the 13th edition this October. Additionally, Subaru Park has also hosted the Premier League Lacrosse championship games the last three consecutive years.
