Ahead of their departure to Atlanta for a trio of matches at the MLS Academy Cup, Philadelphia Union Academy’s U15 squad picked up a 6-1 win over the Cedar Stars Academy of Bergen.
It was a dominant performance from the opening whistle for the U15s with Gael Medrano and Jaden Francis each scoring a pair of goals to lead the way. The scoring wasn’t done as Dominic Wilson and Luke Zielinski netted a goal of their own to put the friendly away.
The U15s will play three matches in a four day span this weekend. The action from ATL begins on Friday, May 28th with a match up against Inter Miami CF followed the next day by LA Galaxy. The tournament concludes on Monday, May 31st with a battle against host Atlanta United.
