It's a battle of two long range golazos from the Norwegian hammer that will face off for the 2021 BIMBO Goal of the Year.
Philadelphia Union center back Jakob Glesnes was the favorite to win the award with two well known goals leading the pack but now the time has come for the Union faithful to decide which goal was the best from the Union's 2021 season.
The first nominee took place on the road at Atlanta United FC with the Union trailing by a goal late. Glesnes collected a pass near the midfield stripe and raced up the field. The Five Stripes gave space and Glesnes sent a thundering blasts that hit the crossbar not once, not twice but three times behind Brad Guzan.
The other finalist simply can be summarized by the crowd at Subaru Park. Shoot! Glesnes did just that and sent the Boys in Blue into the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The latest goal in MLS history was a memorable one and the cherry on top is of course that it eliminated the Red Bulls.
Two memorable goals. Only one can be the best for 2021.
