With a mission to unite pets with loving homes, Subaru and the Union support local animal shelters by collecting pet supplies and hosting pet adoption events at Subaru Park.

Gameday Pups & Dogs of Ben

In partnership with the Philadelphia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and Providence Animal Center, Subaru and the Union highlight four adoptable Gameday Pups dogs at each game. During the pandemic, when in-person game attendance was challenging, the ‘Dogs of Ben’ program was born. The Dogs of Ben program showcased cut-out photos of real adoptable dogs in a furry fan section, which to date has resulted in over 88 adoptions.

These programs, alongside Make a Dog’s Day Fest, in which 17 pet organizations brought over 100 adoptable dogs to a game, has resulted in over 200 dogs being adopted over last season.
