Marlon LeBlanc - Head Coach
Marlon LeBlanc enters his third full season as Head Coach of Philadelphia Union II. LeBlanc joined the Union organization in 2020 as a coach with the U-17 team and works with players and coaches throughout the academy system. Before joining the Union, LeBlanc had a long tenure as the head coach at the University of West Virginia. In his 14 seasons at the helm, the Mountaineers won 138 matches and made six NCAA appearances, including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2007. In his first season with West Virginia LeBlanc led his team to a 15-3-3 record and was named the 2006 Soccer America Coach of the Year. LeBlanc’s Mountaineers won the 2019 Mid-America Conference Championship in his last season with the team.
In 2022, LeBlanc led the Union II to a berth in the inaugural MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs with a 11-9-4 record, finishing the regular season in third place in the Eastern Conference with 40 points, winning the second most shootouts in the league with three. He also was one of two MLS NEXT Pro Head Coaches to complete the USSF Pro License.
