Philadelphia Union II took on New England Revolution II at Gillette Stadium on Monday afternoon, falling 5-1. Union II took an early lead to the match, when forward Stefan Stojanovic converted a penalty kick in the 10th minute to put Union II up 1-0. New England’s Damian Rivera scored an equalizer in the 21st minute to make it 1-1. Forward Jordan Adebayo-Smith gave New England the lead minutes after, scoring in the 29th minute. Coming out of the second half, New England doubled the lead quickly, when midfielder Esmir Bajraktarevic scored from long range in the 49th minute. Forward Malcolm Fry then extended the lead in the 54th minute with Revolution II’s fourth goal. Midfielder Brandonn Bueno scored from the spot in the 89th minute to extend the lead to 5-1 and secure all three points for Revolution II.
Philadelphia Union II will travel to SeatGeek Stadium on Sunday, April 16 (7:00 p.m. ET / MLSNEXTPro.com) to play Chicago Fire FC II.
