Box Score | Philadelphia Union II (3) [5], Toronto FC II (3) [4]

Philadelphia Union II faced off against Toronto FC II at Subaru Park on Sunday afternoon, ending in a 3-3 draw where the Union earned an extra point in the post-regulation shootout. Union II took an early 2-0 lead to the match when midfielder Jeremy Rafanello found the back of the net in the 13th minute , followed immediately by forward José Riasco’s finishing off of a slotted cross from forward Chris Donovan in the 14th minute. Though the Union outshot Toronto 10 to two, the score remained 2-0 for the Boys in Blue to end the half. In the second half, Toronto put one on the board after midfielder Antony Curic headed home a cross from forward Jordan Faria in the 56th minute. In a breakaway run, forward Hugo Mbongue found the equalizer for Toronto inthe 68th minute. Just minutes later, a penalty kick awarded to Toronto put the visitors up 3-2 in the 74th minute. After being subbed on, forward Stefan Stojanovic caught the end of a switch from defender Brandan Craig, finding Toronto’s keeper high and chipping the ball in to tie the match at 3-3. With regulation time ending in a draw, both sides headed into a post-regulation shootout where a key save by goalkeeper Holden Trent followed by a goal from forward Richard Odada earned the Union an extra point in the 3–3 match.
