Facing a difficult travel schedule from the United States to South America, Philadelphia Union Academy U-12s rallied with three straight victories to advance to the SuperGroup Gold stage of the 2020 U-12 Iber Cup Elite Sao Paulo.

After falling in back-to-back 2-1 contests against top Brazilian competition, U-12 head coach Kleberson found the team's top form with a 12-2 victory over Portuguesa PFF with Gunnar Graham bagging a brace while Kellan Leblanc netted a first-half hat trick. The Boys in Blue followed up the win a hour later with an impressive 10-0 clean sheet against Oeste Barueri.

In a must win contest to advance to the SuperGroup Gold matches, the U-12s overcame an early deficit with six-consecutive goals to advance.

The U-12s will face off against Audax later today (update, U-12s won 4-1) with two more matches scheduled for Thursday morning against Red Bull Brazil (7:15 a.m.) and CR Vasco da Gama (9:45 a.m.) All matches are scheduled to be live streamed and can be found here.
