It was a busy weekend for Philadelphia Union Academy as all five teams returned to the pitch for matches in the 2019-20 Academy season. The Boys in Blue tallied 18 goals and four wins across the weekend that featured three different opponents.
The U-19s were the lone squad to square off against PDA, posting their second win of the season with a 3-1 victory Saturday afternoon.
Union Academy's U17s and U15s squared off against rival New York Red Bulls ahead of the first team's Audi 2019 MLS Cup First Round match. The 17's rallied for a 2-1 result while the 15s were unable to complete the sweep with a 4-2 setback.
The youngest teams in the Academy racked up the goals against Lehigh Valley United posting 11 goals and two clean sheets. The U14 squad led the way with a 6-0 result while the 13s followed up with their own impressive 5-0 scoreline.
