With the 2024-25 MLS NEXT Season on the horizon, USSoccerCollective.com has compiled their MLS Academy rankings and at the top of the list is Philadelphia Union for the second year in a row.
The list ranks the Union's talent pool at the A+ level for the second year as well, one of two clubs to receive those marks overall in any categories. The Union also rank highly in their "Pathway To The Pros" player development platform where seven players have signed with the organization in the last 12 months.
"Developmentally they continue to show that they can prepare their players for the subsequent level," Marcus Chai writes. "I see consistent growth from players year to year and they have done as good of a job as any MLS club exporting talent to Europe. They seem to have a logical approach to promoting players through the pathway and they have used MLS Next Pro well to test their young players."
