In addition to their specifically curated book selection, we also serve high quality coffee, food products, apparel, and children’s game in shop. They also hold author talks, workshops, story times, and much more for the community.

Jeannine Cook the owner of Ida’s and Harriett’s describes the shops as “bookshop meets an art gallery meets a monument”. Cook describes herself as a communitarian, guided by an ideology that emphasizes the connection between the individual and the community and that’s her goal with both bookshops!
