After a wild Decision Day, featuring goals galore, triumph, heartbreak and even snow, the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs field is now set.
A record 10 teams have made the postseason from the East, with those that finished in places seven to 10 facing a Play-In match in order to make it into Round 1 proper. The big news on Decision Day was the Philadelphia Union securing the top seed and the Supporters' Shield, meaning they will play at home throughout the playoffs.
At the other end of the field, the Montreal Impact and Inter Miami CF edged out D.C. United and Chicago Fire FC to clinch the remaining two places in the East after a dramatic first set of games on Decision Day.
In the West, meanwhile, Sporting Kansas City clinched top spot with a win at Real Salt Lake< in the aforementioned snow. While all eight playoff spots had already been wrapped up, there was plenty of movement in the seedings. Minnesota United< took fourth spot to get a home Round 1 playoff game, while last season's Supporters' Shield winners, LAFC, dropped all the way down to seventh and will now face a blockbuster Round 1 matchup at the home of the 2019 MLS Cup winners, the Seattle Sounders.
