We're starting off our morning by celebrating a BIMBO Birthday for midfielder Alejandro Bedoya!
The Philadelphia Union team captain turns 35 today and has provided countless memorable moments with the Boys in Blue since his arrival in August 2016. Bedoya scored the Union's lone playoff goal in 2016 with a chip shot at Toronto FC and became the first player in club history to score in multiple MLS Cup Playoff Games with his first-half strike against New York Red Bulls in 2019.
Bedoya is part of a special group of Union players with 18 goals in regular season play and 20 assists. Bedoya is just one of seven players with 20 assists, joining Kai Wagner, Jamiro Monteiro, Ilsinho, Haris Medunjanin, Sebastien Le Toux and Cristian Maidana as the only players to hit 20 assists for the Boys in Blue.
