Philadelphia Union faced off against Queretaro F.C. on Friday night at Subaru Park in the Quarterfinals of the 2023 Leagues Cup, winning 2-1. With the win, the Union advance to the Semifinals of the 2023 Leagues Cup. In the first half, midfielder Jesus Bueno scored from the center of the box in the 10th minute to put the Union ahead 1-0. In the second half, Queretaro’s Angel Sepulveda equalized in the 65th minute. Late in stoppage time, forward Chris Donovan scored the game-winning goal from the center of the box.
The Union will return to Subaru Park where they will face Inter Miami CF in the Semifinals of the 2023 Leagues Cup on Tuesday, August 15th (Time TBA).
