In the second half, midfielder Daniel Gazdag scored in the 50th minute to level the score. With the goal, Gazdag ties club legend Sebastien Le Toux for the most goals scored in club history (all competitions). Real Salt Lake regained the lead with a goal from Alexandros Katranis in the 89th minute. The Union outshot Real Salt Lake 15 to 9, but could not find the equalizer.
