Ahead of the club's trip to New Jersey to take on the New York Red Bulls on Saturday night, Philadelphia Union Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the status of the squad.
Olivier Mbaizo
“[Olivier]'s good. Just a little cramp and a little tightness and I give him credit for recognizing it and not pushing. He made about a 60-yard recovery sprint and it didn't feel right. Fortunately it wasn't a pull but just cramping. A lot went into this past week but we'll get him some recovery and rest but he'll be available off the bench. Scan came back fine and everything is clean."
Jose Martinez
"Jose is the other one that had a scan because he got a really big shot to the ribs but the MRI came back with nothing broken but ribs are tricky because sometimes things don't show up that are in there. He's in pain right now but he's a warrior and I expect him to go."
