Ahead of Philadelphia Union's trip north of the border for its Eastern Conference showdown at Toronto FC on Wednesday night, Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the status of the squad.
Jose Martinez
“Jose fortunately wasn't serious [with the hamstring] injury. He was proactive after making the good long run to set up the second goal and then just didn't feel quite right but hasn't had any pain. We got a test done and everything is positive there so we dodged a bullet for sure because we've done a good job staying healthy this year, knock on wood. The cohesiveness of the group is really important but we still will have a couple of changes but Jose is fully ready to go and available."
Julian Carranaza
“He had no issues with the injury and I thought looked pretty good in the [D.C. United] game and probably deserved a goal or two. Overall a typical Julian performance where he sets the line for us, does so much pressuring and had a good assist as well. A great player and a guy that is very important to our group so there is no problem with him. He's young and can turnaround quick and go again against Toronto."
