When you click on the eMLS page on MLSSoccer.com there is one face you see on multiple posts. Philadelphia Union esports competitor Cormac "Doolsta" Dooley.
With eMLS League Series hardware from both Los Angeles and Dallas, there is no question why the 18-year-old is being lauded as the player the beat.
From being featured as a player to watch to earning the coveted 99 FUT card, expectations are high for Doolsta this weekend in Boston but there were entering the last eMLS event.
“Everyone will probably look at me as the favorite in the Eastern Conference because I’m 12 points ahead in the conference and I only need to win a few games to secure a first-round bye so I think a lot of people will be looking at me to win," Doolsta told PhiladelphiaUnion.com. "There is a bit more pressure than when I entered League Series Two but I’ve won the first two so I don’t see a reason why I can’t get a third.”
Regular season competition kicks off Friday afternoon in a little bit different format than the previous two competitions. After going 15-1-6 in regular-season matches against the Eastern Conference, Doolsta will square off against the Western Conference. That means rematches against Kid M3mito of Houston (Doolsta's victory at eMLS League One snapped the gamer's 33-match unbeaten streak) and Rctid_Thiago, whom Doolsta overcame a first-half deficit to claim his latest title.
