With every player signing comes the question of which number he'll wear. For Philadelphia Union's latest acquisition, Leon Flach there was only one number he wanted. #31.
The dual national Flach selected the number of one of his favorite players, German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger and his iconic #31.
Flach becomes the fifth player in Union history to wear the number with it last worn in 2019 by goalkeeper Carlos Miguel Coronel. Other to have the number include Jeff Parke, Cristhian Hernandez and Chase Harrison.
