Philadelphia Union announced today that Jose Martinez has received an international call-up for Venezuela ahead of 2022 World Cup Qualifier matches that will take place in the coming weeks.
Martinez was called up by the Venezuelan National Team for their pair of matches in the group stage of the World Cup qualifiers. Martinez, who has a total of 12 caps for La Vinotinto, featured in the match against Ecuador on November 11, 2021. He recorded his first assist for the national team in a 1-1 draw against Ecuador on June 20, 2021. Martinez, who made his debut for the team in a World Cup qualifier match on June 3, 2021, against Bolivia.
Brujo will take to the pitch for his national team as for their matches vs. Bolivia (Jan. 28, 5:00 p.m.) and Uruguay (Feb. 1, 6:00 p.m.).
