Damiani earns first senior national team call-up following standout 2026 season with Philadelphia
Philadelphia Union announced today that forward Bruno Damiani has been called up to Uruguay’s senior national team for the upcoming FIFA international window. The selection marks Damiani’s first call-up to Uruguay’s senior national team.
Damiani earns his first senior national team call-up following a standout 2026 campaign with the Union. The 24-year-old has scored 12 goals and added four assists in MLS play this season, including nine goals and three assists over a seven-match stretch from September 9 through October 17.
Damiani previously represented Uruguay’s locally based national team in 2024, starting in a scoreless draw against Costa Rica on May 3. He now takes the next step in his international career with this call-up to the senior squad.
Uruguay will face Argentina in an international friendly on Nov. 13 before hosting the Dominican Republic on Nov. 17.
