Philadelphia Union announced today that the club has loaned Homegrown forward Nelson Pierre to Swedish side, Skövde AIK, through 2024. Skövde AIK currently plays in the Superettan, Sweden’s Second Tier League.
A graduate of YSC Academy, Pierre signed a Homegrown contract on February 21, 2023, becoming the 20th Homegrown player in Union history. In 2023, the 18-year-old made 28 appearances (15 starts) for Philadelphia Union II, the Union’s MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, scoring four goals and registering four assists. Pierre made his MLS NEXT Pro debut on March 27, 2022, where he recorded three shots against FC Cincinnati 2.
TRANSACTION: Philadelphia Union loan Nelson Pierre to Skövde AIK through 2024.
