Philadelphia Union showed they are one of the best clubs in North America as they got past El Salvadorian side Alianza F.C, to move on to the Quarterfinals of the 2023 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League in their second-ever appearance in the tournament. The Boys in Blue will face off with Liga MX side Atlas F.C. with the home leg to take place at Subaru Park between April 4-6 before heading to Guadalajara, Mexico for the second leg between April 11-13.
The Union secured their spot with a 4-0 victory against Alianza in the second leg. Meanwhile Atlas F.C. overcame a 3-1 deficit in the first leg with a resounding 4-0 home win against CD Olimpia.
