After a strong road start against defending the MLS Cup Champions, Philadelphia Union enjoys yet another high ranking in the latest batch of Power Rankings both from MLSSoccer.com and ESPN.com.
The Boys in Blue are ranked No. 2 on ESPN's list after battling Columbus Crew SC to a scoreless draw last weekend at Historic Crew Stadium. "In a battle between the reigning Supporters Shield winners and current MLS Cup holders, the Union walked away from Columbus the happier side," Jeff Carlisle wrote. "Andre Blake was in midseason form for Philly, making several big saves to preserve the point."
Meanwhile the Union are still slotted No. 4 in the rankings after the points were counted from 13 different writers, editors and columnists for the league's website.
