Kacper Przybylko knows it takes the whole team playing well to get him chances to score. And when he misses those chances, the big striker can get visibly upset.
And when the next look comes, Przybylko doesn’t miss.
After lifting a headed shot high over the bar Sunday night, the Union’s leading goalscorer tapped home a Matt Real cross for the Union’s first headed goal of the 2020 season. That goal gave the Union the lead going into halftime, and Przybylko quickly added another off a Brenden Aaronson pass two minutes after play restarted.
Przybylko is nominated for player of the week in addition to making the MLS Team of the Week. He continues to score at the pace of a top striker even as higher profile signings get more media attention, and he does it no matter who his partner is up top.
With six goals since the regular season restarted, there are few players in the league keeping pace with Przybylko as he continues to lead the line for the second place team in the Supporters’ Shield race.
