Official Pub Partners of the Philadelphia Union bring the environment of Talen Energy Stadium to local pubs around the greater Philadelphia area. Partnering pubs provide a great space for Union faithful to gather and enjoy friends, food, and even Union-themed drink specials while watching their favorite club battle on the road. Appetites on Main is a family owned and operated sports bar and restaurant located just north of West Chester in Exton, Pa. Proudly serving it’s patrons since 2002, Appetites on Main offers a special kind of welcoming atmosphere with an array of both delicious and affordable food and beverages.
The restaurant was originally founded 14 years ago by David Weinstein, but is now operated by his son and current president Brad Weinstein after David passed away in 2008. Though he may have passed years ago, the fun-loving and welcoming spirit of the original owner remains alive and well today in the family-friendly restaurant.
Appetites on Main isn’t just any ordinary sports bar and restaurant. Along with being renowned for it’s friendly service, it is also known for providing fantastic cuisine at a great price. While still well-known for the excellence of savory specialties such as its Reuben and Pastrami sandwiches, Appetites on Main is perhaps most famous for its wings. This isn’t just the opinion of the customers either, considering these wings won the 2014 Best of Main Line award two years ago.
Appetites on Main doesn’t skimp when it comes to on the quality of it’s beverages either, considering the bar offers over 75 different beers by bottle and rotating craft beer taps. The sports bar also prides itself on prides itself on a number of daily drink specials, along with endless entertainment on any given night with Karaoke sessions, DJs, and live music weekly.
For those who love watching sports as much as they love their four-legged friends, Appetites on Mane has it covered. One of the restaurants most uniquely vibrant qualities is its huge, outdoor pet-friendly patio – a feature that won the Weinstein family’s restaurant the Best of Main Line Patio designation in 2015.
A life-long soccer fan himself, Appetites on Main’s president Brad Weinstein took the first chance he got to brand his sports bar an official Pub Partner of Philadelphia Union.
“I have been playing soccer since I was 4, and I still play to this day,” Weinstein said. “Once the opportunity came to support our local professional team, help my business, see exciting soccer, and spend time with my family, I couldn't pass it up. Plus we donate a lot of our tickets for causes and give them to loyal customers too.”
By frequently participating in community events and fundraisers, Appetites on Main also finds joy in giving back to the people they serve every day.
“We are constantly donating gifts to local charities and Events,” Weinstein said. “We host our Annual Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day Every September in honor of my Dad. We donate 10 percent of our proceeds to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network plus 100 percent of Raffle proceeds too. The Union have been very generous in donating items for that Raffle. This year it is on Saturday, Sept. 17.”
