Where are you from?
Johannesburg, South Africa.
What excites you about this opportunity with the Union?
Just excited to work with good people and great players. People is the core of my philosophy, so I'm excited to work with them.
What's your favorite thing about your job?
Just being on the field every single day. Working with players when there's feelings, emotions, passion, technical abilities. Just doing everything that I'm here on this earth to do, and that's to serve the players to provide the fans with a lot of fun and success along the way.
What’s your favorite soccer memory?
Probably making my debut at the age of 16 in South Africa or World Cup 2002 in Japan/Korea.
Who is someone you look up to?
Probably my Dad. He's probably the one who grounded me with values and rights and wrongs from an early, early age as a kid. Those memories and those foundations have stuck with me ever since.
Favorite snack?
I don’t know. I’m not even a big snack guy, but I really do enjoy a good ole barbecue.
Favorite song?
Back in the day, I was crazy for Craig David. So 7 Days.
If you could have any superpower? What would it be?
Extend longevity. I don't know. I'm not sure about superpowers, but I'd just like to enjoy my time a little bit longer here on earth.
If you wanted someone to play you in a movie, who would it be?
Probably Leonardo DiCaprio.
If you weren't coaching, what would be your dream job?
Maybe a Barista or race car driver. A bit of both. Caffeine and octane -- that's kind of my thing.
What's your message to the fans?
I'm just really excited about 2025 and beyond. Epecially here, presenting ourselves, not as a new squad, but as a reinvigorated squad here at home at Subaru Park. Playing with the energy that you guys deserve, with the way we're gonna go about our things within the philosophy. Being on the front foot, being on the edge of your seats, and in your face. I'm really excited about spending this time with you and looking forward to a prosperous and healthy 2025 as well as beyond.
