ScotiaBank CCL CHAMPS: Union U13s knock off ADFA Santa Ana 2-1

Undefeated. Only three goals allowed all tournament. Never troubled, even when a second half goal in the final meant every touch mattered.

Philadelphia Union's U13 squad went up 2-0 and held on to take the ScotiaBank Concacaf Champions League U13s trophy in Costa Rica. Head Coach Phil Karn's side swept through the group stage before coming up against Guerreros Coahuila in the quarterfinals. A 4-1 win put Philly into a semifinal matchup with Guatemalan side Comunicaciones. The Union used an 8th minute goal from Dominic Wilson to control the match and set up a showdown with El Salvador's ADFA Santa Ana.

Behind a first half goal from Matt Routzhan and a follow-up finish by Angel Gael Medrano gave the Union a cushion before Santa Ana pulled one back late.

Congratulations to the entire team as they return to Philadelphia with silverware!
