Philadelphia Union kicked off their Greener Goals Initiatives on Tuesday morning, teaming up with Subaru of America and One Tree Planted to plant trees at Eyre Park in Chester, PA.
The tree planting is part the partnership between the Union and Subaru of America, Inc., the Union will donate 25 trees for every Union goal scored during the 2023 MLS season. This includes the 10 goals scored thus far this season, totaling 250 trees, and combined with last year’s 79 goals, 2,225 total trees are to be planted through this initiative to date.
Tuesday morning members from both front office staff began the initiative by planting an initial 25 mature trees. Check out a few of the photos from the community service event.
