The 2022 Union Co-MVP, Gzdag started off his 2023 season picking up where he left off with dazzling assists and plays up and down the pitch. In March he notched his some impressive stats Gazdag picked up a goal in the club's home leg against Alianza FC and added a pair of assists on the road at CF Montreal.
Newcomer Andres Perea made the most of his time on the pitch in March racking up three goals while playing a massive role in the club's opening round series of the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League. After a 87-minute performance on the road where he helped the Union pick up a shutout, Perea injected some fresh energy at Subaru Park in the second leg, scoring a brace to help the Union advance to the Quarterfinals. In the March finale against his former club, Perea showcased his hustle to never give up taking a shot off the post and putting it into the net.
