- Homegrown midfielder Anthony Fontana makes his 10th career start for the Union. In his nine previous starts, Fontana has scored four goals and added an assist.
- Kacper Przybylko makes his 55th career start in MLS play atop of the Union lineup. Przybylko notched a brace last time in Atlanta when the two sides squared off in late April in the Quarterfinals of the Concacaf Champions League.
- Newly signed right back Alvas Powell makes the matchday roster for the first time in his Union career.
