- Head Coach Jim Curtin switches from the 4-4-2 diamond formation to a 3-4-2-1 set up that brings four changes to the Starting XI from the Union's 3-0 win over Chicago Fire FC on Wednesday night and switches
- Goalkeeper Andre Blake earns his 160th career start for the Union. Blake is 8-1-3 all-time against the Revs in MLS regular season contests.
- Center back Stuart Findlay makes his second start of the season tonight. Findlay's first MLS start came on June 26th on the road at Chicago.
- Homegrown Jack McGlynn gets his fourth start of his MLS career on the road in New England. McGlynn's last start came in a 1-0 win over Columbus Crew on June 23rd.
- Fellow homegrown Paxten Aaronson gets his first MLS start. Tonight will also mark his fourth appearance of his rookie campaign.
- Quinn Sullivan, another Union homegrown, gets his second start of his career paired alongside Sergio Santos. Sullivan's other start this year came at Chicago on June 26th.
