Philadelphia Union Partners With Roxborough United SC
Union enter into partnership with local youth club Roxborough United SC
CHESTER, Pa. (February 13, 2019) – Philadelphia Union today announced it has partnered with Roxborough United SC. Under the collaborative arrangement, Union youth coaches will lead evaluation and training sessions for Roxborough United SC’s youth programs.
The partnership was carefully designed with the goal of both clubs coming together to raise the level of soccer in the community, as well as provide elite training and development programs for the youth of the area.
“This is a great partnership and we are very proud to work with Roxborough United SC,” said Union Youth General Manager David Pettican. “They are a club that is local, community based, and has been supportive of Philadelphia Union. We look forward to working with them and helping grow the game of soccer at all levels here at home.”
Roxborough United SC is currently structured with three different levels based on age group, including a Tots program (2-5 year olds), Academy program (6-7 year olds), and Travel program (8-14 year olds). Under the partnership, Philadelphia Union will provide training for coaches and parents at every level within RUSC, as well as conduct summer PDP programs for personal development.
In addition to elite training and development programs, the Union will also provide each RUSC player with a ticket to a 2019 Union home match.
