Philadelphia Union's U15 squad put together a strong performance before rain turned their match against Chivas Guadalajara into a muddy slog in Dallas.
Following up on yesterday's victory over Monterrey, Chris Brewer's boys showed grit and the type of mentality Ernst Tanner preaches as they fought on after going a man down early. The Union were beginning to take control of the match when the downpour began and changed the nature of the match entirely.
Chivas knocked in a goal after a mad scramble inside the box in the final moments of the game.
Weather permitting, the U15s will return to action at 8:00 p.m. ET today against Cruz Azul.
