Timing is running out for teams to register for the 2019 Battle of the Branches that kicks off on Tuesday, August 6th. Sign-ups conclude Friday, July 26th at 12 p.m.
The Union, in partnership with Liberty USO and Battleship New Jersey, are hosting 5v5 mini-soccer tournament on the deck of the Battleship New Jersey to celebrate Military Appreciation Week.
Teams are open to all active duty military, as well as retired, reserve, DOD civilians, and friends and family playing in honor or memory of military members in the Philadelphia-area. There is no cost to register and for each team that participates, the Philadelphia Union will make a donation to the USO and Battleship New Jersey.
The winning team will receive free tickets and limited-edition Adidas camo warm-up tops that the team will wear prior to the Union’s Military Appreciation Game on Sunday, August 11 against Houston Dynamo. They will also be recognized on-field in front of fans and the team.
