Philadelphia Union Debut “Union Classic”
Classic games from Union history to be televised on PHL17 and streamed on PhiladelphiaUnion.com
CHESTER, Pa. (March 25, 2020) – Philadelphia Union today announced the initial line-up for “Union Classic,” a series of notable Union matches from the club’s history. All Union Classic matches will be streamed on PhiladelphiaUnion.com locally with select games being featured on PHL17, starting with the Union's 2019 historic playoff win against New York Red Bulls this Saturday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Union’s first home match played at Lincoln Financial Field on April 10, 2010, will also be shown on PHL17 on Saturday, April 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
“Union Classic gives us an opportunity to unite our fanbase and provide the Philadelphia Union faithful with some of their favorite games from the club’s history,” said Tim McDermott, Philadelphia Union President. “These games are some of the most exciting soccer matches ever played in MLS and we hope that you enjoy reliving these moments alongside us.”
Memorable games including a 6-1 win over Orlando City SC, famous victories over D.C. United, and other treasures from the club’s past will also be released from the archive and available for on-demand viewing at PhiladelphiaUnion.com.
