A golden goal was needed in Sunday night’s Xbox One championship match of FIFAdelphia Series 2 presented by Subaru that pitted MrOxyClean03 against FRIENDBEN18. In the end, it was the No. 3 seed MrOxyClean walking away with the title by a 4-3 margin.
Coming off a 9-2 semifinal win, MrOxyClean03 kept the momentum rolling with an early goal in just the second minute of play. However, FRIENDBEN18 proved he why he was the top seed of the tournament equalizing on a corner kick minutes later. The match looked destined to be knotted up at the halftime break MrOxyClean03 hit back with mesmeric dribbling run that resulted in a 2-1 lead.

FRIENDBEN18 didn’t let the momentum last long, shortly after the halftime break. With the match deadlocked at a pair of goals each, both competitors slowed down the action and looked for the opportunity to net a possible game-winning goal. MrOxyClean took his third lead of the contest late in the game but moments later a quick combination of passes and tight dribbling saw FRIENDBEN18 tied the game up in what would be the last play of the match forcing the Golden Goal situation.
The last-minute effort from FRIENDBEN18 proved to be in vein as 18 minutes into the extra period, MrOxyClean scored the Golden Goal attacking from his preferred left side to crown himself the FIFAdelphia Series 2 and remain unbeaten the whole tournament.
