After a thrilling MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs opening weekend, the matchups for the Conference Semifinals will be announced as part of the league's Pick-Your-Opponent Selection Show on Tuesday afternoon.
Philadelphia Union II will make the lone selection for the Eastern Conference after the club secured its first-ever MLS NEXT Pro postseason win against New York City FC II on Sunday evening. Homegrown CJ Olney sent Subaru Park into a frenzy as he took a long pass from Neil Pierre and smashed a shot off the crossbar and into the back of the net in the 86th minute.
The Eastern Conference Playoffs run through Subaru Park as the No. 2 seed Boys in Blue nabbed the selection after FC Cincinnati 2 fell to Crown Legacy over the weekend. Head Coach Marlon LeBlanc and Director of Academy and Professional Development Jon Scheer will once again participate in the selection show hosted by MLS Season Pass announcer Max Bretos.
The top two remaining seeds in each conference are guaranteed home matches with Union II selecting between Columbus Crew 2 and Crown Legacy for whom they will play this weekend.
