On April 7th, 2018, Coach Darren Back lead YSC U17D against FC Montco U-19 at home, an excellent performance against an older and stronger opponent in the U19 - APL Development League. The starting eleven were Lukas Burns, Cole Verrico, Zephyn Brokert-Kress, Sekho Soumah, Cole Sotack, Tiron Shaktu, Connor McNally, Jackson Temple, Obafemi Awodesu, Ti Yang, Willy Burnett
The scoreline did not reflect the game as the team worked extremely hard throughout, demonstrating a high level of intensity and tempo. The players deserve a tremendous amount of credit for trying to play the 'Union way,’ which was evident in the team dominating possession for large portions of the game. Another good learning experience for the players and many positives to take into the next game, the final score was 0-4. The next game is April 14th, home, against Junior Lonestar.
