Philadelphia Union goalkeeper Andre Blake is looking to claim his first MLS League Award of 2022 as he's been nominated for the 2022 MLS Save of the Year presented by Allstate.
Blake's big save took place on May 1st in Nashville SC's home opener at the new GEODIS Park. With the home team pushing for an early goal, they ran into Brick Wall Blake as they were denied In the 23rd minute with Blake's huge stop on Alex Muhl at the door step of the Union goal after a Nashville SC corner. Walker Zimmerman flicked a near post header to the far post which forced Blake to race to the other end and get a hand on another Muhl shot that again was saved.
